We are seeking an experienced and skilled Application Support Engineer with a strong background in Progress OpenEdge technology to provide high-quality production support, issue resolution, monitoring, and minor enhancements for business-critical applications.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Progress OpenEdge (ABL/4GL) in a support environment, as well as a good understanding of Progress Database concepts and performance troubleshooting. Additionally, they should have experience in incident management, problem management, and change management, along with familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands and scripting.
A strong ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and communicate complex technical issues is essential for this role. The successful candidate will also be able to work effectively with development teams to coordinate bug fixes, enhancements, and release deployments.
Maintaining accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures is crucial in this position. We value professionals who are passionate about delivering excellent support and driving process improvements.
- Strong hands-on experience with Progress OpenEdge (ABL/4GL) in a support environment.
- Good understanding of Progress Database concepts and performance troubleshooting.
