Deputy General Manager of Human Resources

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing end-to-end human resources operations in a manufacturing setting, with the ability to align people practices with business goals.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and dynamic human resources manager to lead the human resources function at our client's plant. The deputy general manager of human resources will be responsible for leading all plant-level human resources functions, including manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, training & development, employee engagement initiatives, industrial relations (IR), time office, payroll, attendance, and shift management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all plant-level human resources functions including manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, training & development.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to ensure a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Manage industrial relations (IR) and maintain strong union/worker relationships while ensuring compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee time office, payroll, attendance, and shift management systems.
  • Implement human resources policies, performance management systems, and career development frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare regulations in line with factory and distillery operations.
  • Act as a strategic partner to plant leadership, supporting productivity and workforce efficiency.
  • Manage disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and conflict resolution with fairness and transparency.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong educational background
  • 15 years of experience required
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, IR, and statutory compliance.
