Job Description:

As a senior leader in our organization, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's compliance program and other strategic initiatives.

  • You will drive business value by facilitating the SOX Compliance Program and other related activities.
  • You will transform the function, strengthening its brand, through your participation on department initiatives designed to build talent, improve services, and foster productive stakeholder relationships.
  • You will heavily invest in your professional development, by actively engaging in our global audit development program.
  • You will participate in other strategic business activities, as requested by management.
  • You will support in planning and scoping exercises for SOX testing, including design and operating effectiveness testing and related documentation.
  • You will timely identify, validate, and communicate control deficiencies, as well as develop remediation plans in collaboration with process owners.
  • You will support internal and external groups (global teams, process owners, and auditors) on matters related to SOX and internal controls over financial reporting, under the direction of the SOX Compliance Manager.
  • You will support the standardization of key controls, evaluate potential financial reporting risks, and design effective internal controls to ensure a strong control environment.
  • You will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including management, auditors, and leadership teams.
  • You will stay up-to-date on changes in SOX regulations, auditing/accounting standards, and provide guidance to team members on SOX compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar role with at least 2 years of SOX experience as a lead or above.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIA, CA, CMA, or MBA Finance).
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS).
  • Solid understanding of processes and controls related to Financial Reporting, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Commodity Trading, Treasury, Tax, Plant, Property & Equipment, Inventory, HR Payroll, etc.
  • Strong business and risk acumen.
  • Effective written, verbal, and listening communication skills and ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team of at least 2-3 members.
