Strategic Steel Materials Sourcing Expert

This role involves overseeing the procurement of various steel materials, including HR Coils, MS, SS, and special grades.
- We are seeking an experienced professional with 14+ years of experience in the steel industry, specifically in bulk material purchase.
- The ideal candidate will have knowledge of casting, machining, nitriding, vacuum hardening, and other steel manufacturing processes.
- They should also have experience with importing steel and other goods through vessel shipments and possess strong negotiation skills with cost bifurcation.
- Familiarity with SAP, Advanced Excel, Power BI, and other software tools is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and procuring steel materials to meet business requirements.
- Developing relationships with steel manufacturers to negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.
- Forecasting product demand and analyzing price trends on a weekly basis.
- Managing working capital across PAN India plants based on market and site requirements.
- Preparing analytics on inventory, cost, and other metrics as required by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 14 years of experience in the steel industry with expertise in bulk material purchase.
- Detailed knowledge of steel manufacturing processes.
- Experience with importing steel and other goods through vessel shipments.
- Strong negotiation skills with cost bifurcation.
- Proficiency in SAP, Advanced Excel, Power BI, and other software tools.
