Job Title: EHS Professional

This is a challenging role that requires a strong background in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain an effective EHS Management System with processes for the planning, organization, control, monitoring, review, and maintenance of preventive and corrective measures.
  • Ensure the implementation of Siemens EHS KPIs reporting system, focusing on monitoring and continual improvement.
  • Monitor the Integrated Management System (IMS) according to International Standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO)
  • Take an active role in designing factory layouts to comply with statutory requirements.
  • Organize and conduct monthly safety rounds and meetings with factory managers.
  • Select, evaluate, and monitor contractors working in factories, including systems for penalties and incentives.
  • Identify training needs, plan, and organize training programs on EHS at different levels.
  • Plan and conduct EHS assessments of the factory and take corrective actions promptly.
  • Identify near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Review and analyze UA/UC reports and follow up for compliance.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, communicate the results, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Periodically review Emergency Preparedness Plans and conduct mock drills.
  • Liaise with local authorities regarding statutory EHS-related compliances.
  • Coordinate with factory heads, other factory EHS officers, and stakeholders for overall EHS implementation in the location.
  • Collaborate with RC IN EHS, Business EHS, and Health Management on specific EHS tasks assigned.
  • Conduct periodic site assessments and drive the implementation of Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) for areas of improvement.
  • Have evidence of training and expertise in broader EHS topics.
  • Have expert-level knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and implementing/managing management system elements.
  • Initiate or support Sustainability projects.
  • Engage in periodic assessments and evaluations of service vendors and partners.
  • Monitor EHS compliance for warehouse, logistics, and testing operations.
Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) (BTE Approved).
  • Strong knowledge of Factory-related Legal and applicable statutory requirements.
  • At least 10-12 years of successful industry experience in driving EHS System Implementation or Project Management.
  • Expert-level knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
