Estimator Role

To be successful in this position, you will need to possess a strong understanding of the Quantity Surveying and Cost Management processes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing detailed cost estimates and providing advice on building economics, tendering procedures, and contract arrangements.
  • Preparing contract packages, including advice on amendments to standard forms.
  • Creating pricing documents for tender packages and advising on tendering procedures.
  • Preparing instructions to tenderers and developing tender evaluation criteria.
  • Evaluating all tender submissions and negotiating with tenderers.
  • Resolving price variation disputes and determining amounts of claims.
  • Providing accurate and timely Cost Reports.
  • Desirable Qualifications:
  • A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent with 5-10 years' experience.
  • Chartered Quantity Surveyor under a recognized organization such as the RICS, SCSI, AIQS, NZIQS etc.
  • Excellent IT literacy and proficiency with MS Office.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an aptitude to work rapidly and accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to collaborate with other staff and departments across Global offices located in various regions.
  • An organized self-starter who is attentive to detail and able to work independently.
