Our organization seeks a seasoned audit professional to lead our internal audit team.

Role: Internal Audit Manager

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Implement comprehensive audit programs aligned with industry standards, ensuring timely completion and quality of results.
  • Conduct audits/reviews in compliance with established auditing practices, contributing to improvements and revisions as required.
  • Support collaboration and engagement with stakeholders on meetings and fieldwork, achieving alignment on audit findings and finalizing action plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all audit work papers, adhering to procedures and audit quality assurance standards.
  • Provide consultative support to stakeholders on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework implementation and Control Self-Assessments, reviewing programs for adequacy of coverage and providing recommendations as necessary.
  • Support training programs to enhance control awareness through GRC/Business Process Controls, providing feedback on observations.
  • Assist in implementing established Ethics and Compliance programs to identify and report unusual events/business irregularities and control violations. Participate in Forensic Audits/Fraud Investigations as needed, reporting results and recommending corrective actions.
  • Offer independent guidance to stakeholders regarding compliance requirements and best practices in Internal Controls, ERM, and Audit areas.
  • Ensure adherence to Occupational Health & Safety expectations, Standards of Business Conduct, Ethics and Compliance programs, and other directives issued by the organization.

Scope of Measurement

Key performance indicators include % and timely completion of audit topics per plan, client feedback/survey results, quality and magnitude of risks identified and improvements recommended.

Requirements

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (and/or) Cost & Management Accountant, with relevant internal audit experience (and/or) Certified Internal Auditor.
  • 7-10 years of internal audit experience.

Functional/Technical Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing/process industry preferred.
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience of Accounting Standards viz., Ind AS, US GAAP, IFRS.
  • Exposure to accepted practices of Accounting Consolidation, preparation of financials, and reporting.
  • Forensic Reviews/Fraud Investigations experience (Preferred).
  • Exposure/hands-on experience on SAP and highly skilled in MS Office package.
  • Tech-savvy, good understanding of Database Systems, and ability to employ technology effectively.

Soft Skills

  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
