Job Description

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team as a Business Finance/ FP&A expert. This role will be responsible for creating annual budgets, building financial models, and monitoring targets against plan versus actual performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, preferably with experience in the technology sector or start-ups. They should possess excellent analytical skills, be able to develop strong partnerships with business leaders, and have expertise in Excel, Google Spreadsheet, presentations, and models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create annual budgets and build financial models
  • Monitor targets and course correct against plan vs. actual
  • Publish regular MIS/dashboards for leadership, investors, and management
  • Deep revenue analytics and insights
  • Carry out periodic data reconciliation and follow up with insurers and internal sales teams
  • Perform analysis of cost KPIs, monitor key metrics, bring insights, and control leakages
  • Manage multiple stakeholders and support metrics reporting for relevant processes
  • Participate in projects on system automations for operational efficiency
Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include a CA/MBA finance degree with five years of experience ideally focused on the technology sector or start-ups.

  • Strong data gathering and massaging skills
  • Ability to develop a strong partnership with business leaders
  • Strong business acumen, curiosity, agility, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication (written, verbal, and presentation) skills
  • Deep expertise in Excel, Google Spreadsheet, presentations, and models
  • Prior experience in business-facing roles will be an added advantage
