Demand Forecasting Specialist Role

Are you an experienced data scientist or machine learning engineer looking to apply your skills in a challenging and impactful role? We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a demand forecasting specialist.

Job Description

As a demand forecasting specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying advanced forecasting solutions using machine learning techniques. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business needs and develop end-to-end pipelines for data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, and deployment.

Your primary focus will be on building probabilistic models to quantify forecast uncertainty and implementing MLOps best practices including model versioning, monitoring, and CI/CD. You will also work with distributed training frameworks for scalable model development and collaborate with cloud-based environments (e.g., Databricks, AWS, GCP) for large-scale data processing.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience in Data Science / ML Engineering
  • Strong Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Python and core libraries such as pandas, numpy, scikit-learn
  • Familiarity: Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (preferably PyTorch)
  • Proven Ability: Proven ability to build scalable, production-grade ML pipelines
  • Familiarity: Familiarity with MLOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, retraining pipelines)
  • Solid Understanding: Solid understanding of statistical modeling, regression, and time series
  • Experience: Experience working in cloud environments (Databricks, AWS, GCP)
