Oracle Database Administrator Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced senior Oracle DBA to lead our team in managing and maintaining our Oracle database infrastructure. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, upgradation, and management of our Oracle database infrastructure.

This is a challenging role that requires a high degree of expertise and leadership skills. If you have a strong background in database administration and leadership, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Expert-level understanding of Oracle database architecture, with experience in grid installation and upgradation.
  • Ability to work with various teams to resolve performance issues, including development, storage administrators, network administrators, system administrators, and business users.
  • Specialized knowledge of Oracle RAC, including its complexity across servers, OS, network, and storage layer.
  • Experience working on Oracle engineered systems, such as Exadata, SSC box, and ExaCM.
  • SQL tuning skills and experience in refactoring SQL queries to improve performance.
  • Ability to diagnose performance issues from SQL to application to database to system to storage.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to traverse across infrastructure layers to diagnose issues.
  • Expertise in HA features of Oracle database and complete understanding of backup recovery options.
  • Able to work under pressure in a production environment on databases running on all flavours of OS.
Qualifications:
  • 18+ years of experience in database administration.
  • Prior working experience in telecom or BFSI companies.
  • Mandatory skills include RAC (installation, upgradation, and management), database backup and recovery, and DB migration and performance tuning.
