Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database administration, with a focus on Oracle databases.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily health checks, monitoring database performance, and ensuring system stability.

In this role, you will work closely with our development team to identify and resolve issues, and contribute to the improvement of our database infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Administration
    • Perform daily health checks on Oracle databases.
    • Monitor database performance and ensure system stability.
    • Identify and resolve issues related to database configuration and optimization.
  • Incident Response
    • Triage alarms and gather diagnostics to identify root causes of issues.
    • Escalate incidents to senior engineers as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues.
    • Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of experience in database administration, with a focus on Oracle databases.
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong knowledge of Oracle database management systems.
    • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
    • Experience with scripting languages such as SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
