About this role:

We're looking for an accomplished Oracle Database Administrator with migration expertise to lead our team in delivering seamless database migrations across diverse platforms.

As a seasoned Oracle DBA with Migration Experience Lead, you'll oversee the end-to-end migration lifecycle, including assessment, planning, execution, validation, and post-migration optimization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring minimal downtime and successful delivery during migrations
  • Developing and implementing migration strategies, methodologies, and best practices
  • Planning and executing Oracle database migrations across various environments
  • Performing end-to-end database backup and recovery using Rubrik and RMAN
  • Implementing delta data synchronization strategies for near-zero downtime migration
  • Utilizing Oracle Enterprise Manager for performance monitoring, health checks, and proactive alerting
  • Collaborating with cloud architects and application owners to ensure smooth migration

Must-have skills and qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS and Azure

Nice-to-have skills and qualifications:

  • Knowledge of GoldenGate for real-time replication
  • Familiarity with Terraform/Ansible for IaC-based DB provisioning
