Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager oversees day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all technical systems. They ensure regulatory compliance, preventive maintenance, energy efficiency, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day engineering operations, maintaining guest comfort and system functionality.
  • Implement routine maintenance schedules for electro-mechanical infrastructure and civil assets.
  • Monitor utility consumption, maintain CAM cost discipline, and ensure timely renewal of statutory licenses.

Training & Development:

  • Conduct technical and safety training, including DuPont-based practices.
  • Coordinate documentation and retention of records as per audit standards.
  • Promote eco-friendly practices and awareness among staff.

Team Management:

  • Supervise technical teams, assign tasks, and track daily performance.
  • Support HR in hiring, onboarding, and skill-building initiatives for engineers.
  • Motivate staff through recognition programs and regular briefings.

Financial Acumen:

  • Track engineering expenses, highlight deviations, and ensure budget adherence.
  • Recommend cost-effective procurement of services and equipment.
  • Review and submit monthly reports to seniors.

Leadership & Executive Presence:

  • Represent the Engineering department in management meetings.
  • Address guest/resident complaints with professionalism and promptness.
  • Ensure participation in audits and company-wide initiatives.

Occupational Health & Safety:

  • Implement HSSE practices and systematic risk assessment.
  • Train staff in fire safety, first aid, hazard awareness, and emergency procedures.

Requirements:

B.E. / B-Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

8-10 years of relevant experience in hospitality or real estate engineering operations
