Job Title: Payroll Strategist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage HR systems from hire to retire data management, identifying opportunities to improve processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing for APAC countries, including salaries, wages, deductions, and benefits, coordinating with vendors on system enhancements.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance and retirement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws and regulations, coordinating with inter-departments to resolve discrepancies.
  • Optimize vendor services to meet SLAs and timelines, minimizing risk.
  • Proactively utilize available resources to support business-as-usual projects and global initiatives.
  • Address and resolve employee payroll queries and issues promptly and accurately.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in human resources or MBA.
  • 15-20 years of experience in HR, focusing on HR operations, payroll, and compliance (preferably with APAC exposure).
  • Experience leading a team of 5-10 people for 5+ years.
  • Proficiency in HRM systems like Workday/Oracle.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels within the organization, locally and globally.
  • Effective collaboration skills, influencing stakeholders and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Implement Agile methodologies and lean six sigma processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
