Position Purpose:

A system support professional will provide functional and technical assistance to ensure the availability and performance of business applications. The role requires a high level of commitment, proactivity, and analytical skills to maintain 24x7 application availability through a follow-the-sun model.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring production environments, identifying potential issues, and taking proactive measures to prevent performance degradation or application crashes.

Key responsibilities include resolving support issues using technical expertise, handling ITIL methodologies (Change, Incident, Problem, and Service Management), and coordinating with infrastructure teams on server patching and upgrades.

In addition, the system support professional will analyze and document problems, recommend solutions, and initiate corrective action. Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues are also essential components of this role.

Direct Responsibilities:

  • Act as a level 2/3 escalation point for technical and product issues
  • Monitor production environments and take proactive measures to prevent performance issues or application crashes
  • Resolve support issues using technical expertise
  • Handle ITIL Methodologies like Change, Incident, Problem, and Service Management

Contributing Responsibilities:

  • Train new comers on functional and technical knowledge
  • Improve application performance
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers

Education Level: Bachelor Degree or equivalent

Experience Level: 4 to 8 years
