Job Title: Head Placements Director

This is a senior leadership role that requires visionary thinking, strong professional networks, and the ability to drive impactful results.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Sustainable Leadership
    • Develop and implement placement strategies that align with the institute's mission and industry trends.
  • Professional Relations
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with leading companies, startups, and public sector enterprises for placements, internships, and live projects.
    • Organize industry conferences, guest lectures, and other professional interactions to increase engagement.
  • Placement Excellence
    • Oversee the entire placement process, from pre-placement talks to final offers, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for both recruiters and students.
  • Candidate Readiness
    • Collaborate with faculty and training partners to prepare students to meet industry expectations. This includes pre-placement training on resume building, interview prep, and group discussion practice.
    • Mentor students on career choices, profile development, and industry expectations.
  • Alumni Engagement
    • Leverage the alumni network for placement support, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
  • Performance Analysis
    • Track placement metrics, prepare detailed reports, and present insights to leadership and stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Postgraduate degree (preferably an MBA or equivalent) from a reputable institution.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in corporate relations, placements, business development, or HR, ideally within a reputable academic institution or professional setting.
  • Strong network across various industries (FMCG, BFSI, IT/ITES, Consulting, Manufacturing, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strategic thinker with a result-driven approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
