Job Description:

The Senior Manager is responsible for leading a team of Group Operations professionals to process new business and end-to-end policy servicing for group business.

This role involves coordinating with Sales and Actuarial teams for closure of individual Group processes, accomplishing issuance of policies, and resolving customer and intermediary queries.

Additionally, the successful candidate will ensure that an efficient, effective, professional, and courteous service is provided to intermediaries and customers.

They will also implement and maintain agreed quality and quantity controls to aid proactive management and anticipate problems.

Furthermore, they will supervise and train an effective team to meet the business needs of the organization as it grows.

This position requires close coordination with finance for reconciliation of policy account balances and leadership in the transformation and digitization of group business.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in customer services or operations departments
  • An MBA/ACII degree is required, with an Associate of Insurance Institute being an added advantage
  • Experience in data processing to deliver operational efficiency
  • Good experience in operations within the financial services industry
  • Experience within the Group Operation department of an insurance company
  • Computer skills in using databases and office management software
  • Strong leadership, team building, and influencing skills
