Effective Project Cost Management

Job Description:

As a key member of our construction projects, you'll be responsible for managing costs associated with specialized systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Study project scope in line with design requirements to ensure accurate cost projections.
  • Validate technical specifications received from the design team to prevent budget overruns.
  • Optimize specifications without deviating from client requirements to deliver value-driven solutions.
  • Validate bill of quantities (BOQs) and backup workings to guarantee accuracy and transparency.
  • Presents BOQs and solutions to management for approval, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Check and finalize RA bills and final bills to ensure timely payment and minimize financial risks.
  • Prepare amendments to project specifications to reflect changes in design or scope.
  • Validate budget cost analysis based on benchmark cost matrix to identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Submit alternative budget options considering different design solutions to optimize project outcomes.
  • Explore new products and secure approvals to introduce innovation and improve efficiency.
  • Propose optimization options in budgets to deliver cost-effective solutions.
  • Complete budget requirements within given timelines without delays, ensuring project schedules are met.
  • Prepare reports on cost analysis of projects as per management requirements, providing actionable insights.

To succeed in this role, you'll possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in relevant software is also essential. You'll work independently and as part of a team to ensure seamless project execution.
