ITAM Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Management (ITAM) specialist to join our team.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with strong hands-on expertise in ITAM, SAM tools and processes, and software license compliance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAM tools, software licensing models, and proven experience in audit readiness.

The role involves implementing and managing SAM tools and processes across the organization, maintaining accurate software inventory and license entitlement records, monitoring software usage, and ensuring compliance with vendor agreements. Additionally, the candidate will identify cost-saving opportunities through license optimization and harvesting, prepare for and support internal/external software audits, and collaborate with stakeholders to align SAM strategy with business goals.

About This Role:
  • Develop and implement effective SAM strategies to optimize software usage and reduce costs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date software inventory and license entitlement records
  • Monitor software usage and ensure compliance with vendor agreements
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through license optimization and harvesting
  • Prepare for and support internal/external software audits
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align SAM strategy with business goals
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with SAM tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera, SNOW, SCCM, or equivalent
  • Deep understanding of software licensing models and audit readiness
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and ISO/IEC 19770-1 SAM standards
