Job Title: Cybersecurity Firewall Expert

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Firewall Expert to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firewall configuration, validation, and troubleshooting. They will be responsible for designing and implementing secure firewall configurations, analyzing log data to identify potential security threats, and collaborating with our development team to improve our cybersecurity posture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and maintaining test plans and test cases to validate firewall migration output
  • Reviewing and verifying firewall configurations to ensure they meet expected functionality and security posture
  • Collaborating with our tool development teams to report defects, validate fixes, and improve transformation logic
  • Troubleshooting and resolving post-migration escalations, including policy behavior mismatches, broken traffic flows, and unexpected security outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in firewall configuration, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Strong technical knowledge of NGFW platforms, including Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, FortiGate, and Check Point
  • Excellent debugging and root cause analysis skills in post-deployment/migration environments
