Job Description:

As a seasoned Information Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing security alerts from various sources. Your primary responsibility will be to investigate potential security incidents, determine their impact, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to contain and remediate threats.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring security alerts and logs from SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
  • Analyzing and investigating security incidents to identify root causes and mitigate effects.
  • Performing initial triage and escalating security events according to defined procedures.
  • Collaborating with IT and security teams to implement containment and remediation strategies.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Our ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science, along with 2+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, or cybersecurity monitoring roles. Key qualifications include:

  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight).
  • Familiarity with network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN).
  • Understanding of endpoint security solutions and malware analysis basics.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:

While not required, the following skills are highly desirable for this position:

  • Certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, GIAC GSEC, or CISSP (Associate).
  • Experience with threat intelligence platforms and automation tools (SOAR).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
