Automation Tester Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java and Selenium, developing and maintaining automation frameworks, writing test scripts, and performing various types of testing.

The Automation Tester will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust, reusable, and scalable automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with a programming language like Java.

This includes developing, executing, and debugging high-quality automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and relevant tools.

The role also involves cross-browser testing, executing test cases across different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE, etc.) and platforms.

In addition, the Automation Tester will collect and manage test data for data-driven testing, identify, track, and report defects using defect management tools like Jira.

Collaboration is key, as the Automation Tester will work closely with developers, QA teams, and project stakeholders to ensure test objectives are met.

The successful candidate will perform and manage regression testing to ensure application stability and integrate automation tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automation Framework Development: Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver.
  • Test Script Development: Develop, execute, and debug test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and relevant tools.
  • Cross-Browser Testing: Execute test cases across different browsers and platforms.
  • Defect Reporting: Identify, track, and report defects using Jira.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to ensure test objectives are met.
  • Regression Testing: Perform and manage regression testing to ensure application stability.
