Job Title: Assistant Manager/ Executive - Operations

The primary role of this position is to oversee the operational activities of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless communication and coordination with overseas agents, shippers, clearance teams, transporters, CFS teams, shipping lines, and KAMs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Communication & Coordination: Manage the flow of information between stakeholders, facilitating timely and efficient operations.
  2. Shipment Planning & Execution: Plan and execute ocean freight shipments in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  3. Carrier/Co-loader Bookings: Arrange bookings with carriers and co-loaders, ensuring timely scheduling and space availability.
  4. Logistics Management: Coordinate the logistics process from pickup to delivery, including customs clearance and container stuffing.
  5. Document Verification: Conduct thorough checks of HBL and MBL documents to ensure accuracy.
  6. Onboard Shipment Updates: Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding shipment status once onboard.
  7. Invoice Verification: Verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with agreed terms.
  8. Financial Accuracy: Ensure accurate income and expense provisions in the L-shipping system.
  9. Pre-alert Notifications: Send pre-alert notifications to stakeholders to ensure readiness for cargo arrival.
  10. Daily Shipment Reports: Maintain daily shipment reports and submit them to management on a daily basis.
  11. KPI Adherence: Maintain high standards of operational performance and customer satisfaction by adhering to key performance indicators.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in ocean freight operations within the freight forwarding industry.
  • A strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs clearance, and documentation.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in logistics and freight management systems, including L-shipping.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
