Senior Engineering Leadership Role

This position is a high-level engineering leadership role that requires expertise in building and scaling a small, high-performing team. The Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end engineering execution and laying the foundation for product and company culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and execute the engineering roadmap in alignment with business goals
  • Build and scale a lean engineering team through talent acquisition and mentorship
  • Drive the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable software products
  • Establish best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, observability, and architecture
  • Collaborate with founders, product, and design teams to translate business needs into technical execution
  • Make informed technical decisions on architecture, tools, and platform design
  • Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for velocity, quality, and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with relevant security and regulatory standards
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience
  • At least 4+ years hands-on development experience
  • At least 23 years of experience in engineering management (team building, delivery)
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent
  • Experience delivering software-as-a-service (SaaS) products, particularly in cybersecurity, cloud, or compliance domains
  • Strong foundation in system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design principles
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data modeling techniques
  • Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud environments
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
