Job Description:

  • We are seeking a seasoned ecommerce leader to spearhead our digital commerce efforts, drive revenue growth, and elevate customer satisfaction.
  • This role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive ecommerce strategy, encompassing D2C, marketplaces, offline, and emerging channels.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in forecasting demand, managing inventory, and ensuring stock levels meet business requirements.
  • They should possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to craft product-market fits, localize hero SKUs, and develop new-product roadmaps.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to adapt formulations for regional regulations and sensorial preferences.
  • This role will involve orchestrating 360° marketing efforts, allocating budgets for maximum return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • The successful candidate will establish data pipelines and dashboards to track cohorts, repeat rates, marketplace rankings, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) in real-time.
  • Negotiations with partners will focus on optimizing landed costs and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • A strong leadership skillset is required to recruit, mentor, and performance-manage cross-functional teams.
  • This role will champion customer obsession by mining voice of customer (VOC) insights to inform product updates and customer experience enhancements.
  • The director will drive strategic partnerships to amplify reach and ensure legal and tax compliance.
  • Regular presentations to Global Leadership will provide quarterly business reviews, highlighting wins, risks, and next bets.
  • This role will deploy a test-and-learn culture, running A/B tests on funnels, creatives, bundles, and pricing levers.
  • The successful candidate will set up disaster-recovery and continuity plans for supply, logistics, ads, and key seller accounts.
  • Benchmarking competition will deliver actionable intel on pricing, share-of-voice, and shelf velocity.
  • The Ecommerce Director will serve as the brand's cultural ambassador, embodying its ethos while driving high-performance execution.

Qualifications:

  • Tier 1 colleges only. IIMs, XLRI, MDI, ISB etc.
  • 10 to 17 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Retail industry (FMCG, Retail, E-commerce)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical, data, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use information for reporting
  • Drive and manage own tasks effectively; work independently and be an effective contributor to the team
  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through
  • Extremely organized with superior time management skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize under tight schedules while maintaining production of high-quality work
  • Self-accountability to follow-through with proper consistent updates to stakeholders Proficiency with project-based tools such as Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
