Pharmaceutical Data Manager Job Description

This role is responsible for managing data aggregation projects from inception to delivery, developing data management and reporting systems, and working with specialty pharmacy, hub, distributor, and 3PL data.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management capabilities, people management and mentoring skills, advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, and the ability to work in an international matrix environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage data aggregation projects from conception to delivery, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain data management and reporting systems, including dashboards and analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from specialty pharmacy, hub, distributor, and 3PL sources.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product development teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics.
  • 8-10 years of professional experience in data management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong Python coding skills, with experience using libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including data modeling, pivot tables, and vlookup functions.
  • Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word), with expertise in creating presentations and reports.
  • HIPAA-compliant data management experience, with knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with commercial life sciences datasets, including CRM, payer reference, and claims data.
