Pricing Analyst Job Description

This role contributes to the company's profitability by providing thorough and competitive cost/pricing analysis. The Pricing Analyst will manage the overall cost/pricing process, analyze customer requirements, develop bid pricing, and contribute to winning proposals.

  • Develop strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing projects.
  • Create reports reflecting metrics, project status, client level P&L, objectives, and KPIs.
  • Communicate findings effectively to relevant departments of the organization.
  • Work with sales and delivery teams to define pricing structure for services offered.
  • Read and understand technical/requirement documents as well as legal documents.
  • Scope out opportunities based on market trends and industry conditions.
  • Identify ideal pricing structures and sales funnels.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 5-8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Nurture relationships with senior internal and external personnel in your area of expertise.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Proven experience developing clear and accurate deliverables from subject matter expert and technical source materials.
  • Prior experience building pricing models.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build consensus and partnership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience contributing to RFP responses.
  • Experience working and delivering to software development life cycle process.
  • Experience with data analytics.
  • Experience in managed service and technology.
  • Experience in creating sales reports and sales forecasts.
  • Experience in interpreting market trends.
