Investment Director Opportunity

The role of Investment Director involves being the key investing engine for a venture-scale fund. This position entails owning the funnel from sourcing to portfolio support, ensuring a founder-friendly approach throughout the investment process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing & Thesis:
    • Develop and maintain a quality pipeline across seed/early and later-stage deals.
    • Build thematic theses on various sectors such as fintech, SaaS, consumer internet, logistics, and AI-enabled operations.
    • Represent the fund at ecosystem events and leverage network connections to find non-obvious opportunities.
  • Evaluation & IC Prep:
    • Run fast screens and deep dives on potential investments.
    • Prepare materials for an efficient Investment Committee cadence.
  • Diligence Leadership (LDD/FDD/Tech/Commercial):
    • Coordinate diligence scope, select external partners, and commission necessary work.
    • Synthesize findings into go/no-go recommendations with practical remedies.
  • Transaction Execution:
    • Support term sheet design and ensure alignment with founder-friendly principles.
    • Coordinate with counsel on definitive documents and ensure clean close checklists.
  • Portfolio Support & Follow-ons:
    • Onboard companies into the advisor network and drive targeted support.
    • Track portfolio health and prepare follow-on cases.
  • Finance, Reporting & Ops:
    • Partner with finance on allocations, wires, and record-keeping.
    • Keep pipeline CRM tidy and report on funnel metrics.

    • Explain decisions, needs, and timelines clearly.
