Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead strategic resource mobilization initiatives, driving diversified funding streams for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead business development and fundraising efforts for programs from diverse donors, including institutional agencies, multilateral organizations, consulting firms, ESG donors, high-net-worth individuals, philanthropists, corporate and family foundations.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with potential funders, establishing the organization's presence with large international funders and primary recipients of multilateral organizations.
  3. Identify and track funding prospects, utilizing appropriate tracking tools such as Salesforce.
  4. Pursue database management of potential funders and partners for business development.
  5. Cultivate new and existing partnership engagements, identifying and building relationships with prospective collaborative partners for RFPs.
  6. Oversee proposal development in coordination with program teams.
  7. Maintain key resources to support proposals, including standard documents, databases of activity costs, and other relevant policies.
  8. Represent the organization at various events and networking forums.
  9. Stay up-to-date on programs and service offerings, preparing periodic project briefs for dissemination.
  10. Ensure grant management through donor due diligence, ongoing engagement, and submission of high-quality reports.

Qualifications and Experience: A post-graduate qualification in business development or management, coupled with extensive experience in fundraising, particularly with institutional donors. A minimum of 10–15 years of experience is required, with an advantage for those who have submitted proposals to USAID, European Union, Co-Impact, ADB, SIDA, or similar donors.

Essential Skills and Competencies: Persuasive communication, external strategic alliances, team performance, negotiation, internal partnerships, effective presentations, decision-making, proposal development, strategic writing, and a willingness to travel.
