Strategic Training Manager

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in training operations, process coaching, or quality management, with a strong track record of delivering high-performance training programs. They will possess advanced expertise in leading, mentoring, and managing teams to drive performance excellence within the training function.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and executing comprehensive training programs that align with long-term business objectives.
  • Developing and implementing training initiatives that are forward-thinking and in line with industry trends.
  • Overseeing and refining training methodologies to enhance learning efficiency and outcomes.
  • Providing strong leadership by managing and mentoring senior team members, guiding them to drive performance excellence within the training function.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Leading the implementation and evolution of quality management practices across training programs.
  • Continuously improving training frameworks based on performance analytics, audits, and feedback.
  • Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for training effectiveness, ensuring outcomes are continuously improved through data-driven insights.

Additional requirements will include:

  • Collaborating with senior management and cross-functional teams to align training and process coaching strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Acting as the key liaison between the training department and leadership, ensuring seamless communication of goals, outcomes, and challenges.

Requirements for this role include:

  • 15+ years of experience in training operations, process coaching, or quality management, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • HCC knowledge: Extensive expertise in HCC coding systems.
  • Leadership & training expertise: Advanced experience in leading, mentoring, and managing a team of trainers, process coaches, and managers, driving high performance and achieving training objectives.
  • Advanced problem-solving: Exceptional ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex training, operational, and process-related challenges at an organizational level.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Coding certification – AAPC/AHIMA
  • Proven experience in a senior management role overseeing a team of managers, trainers, or quality leaders in a high-volume, dynamic environment.
