Job Title: Senior Credit Strategist

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our credit function, providing strategic guidance and oversight to ensure the effective management of our lending portfolio.

  • This is a high-profile role that requires a seasoned credit professional with a strong understanding of credit policy and processes in lending/lease products.
Main Responsibilities
  • Led the credit function for a minimum of 2 years, demonstrating expertise in credit risk management and team leadership.
  • Maintained an in-depth understanding of credit policies and processes, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk exposure.
  • Managed geographically spread teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Exposure to multiple asset classes, including automobiles, equipment, and real estate, with a preference for leasing experience.
  • Understanding of ECL / loss models and managed large and senior teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Candidates should hold a CA or MBA Finance degree from a reputable business school, with 18-20 years of relevant industry experience.
  • A strong background in handling credit functions in banking or NBFCs, with a proven track record of success.
  • Familiarity with CIBIL and Lending norms.
Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with new-age underwriting/assessment tools and technology.
  • Sound understanding of technological advancements and digital tools used in credit underwriting and risk management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with leasing products.
