Medical Communications Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding role that combines medical science and writing expertise to develop high-quality scientific materials for clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical research and medical communication, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different materials and target audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and write scientific, medical, and educational materials such as slides, abstracts, posters, manuscripts, infographics, congress and meetings materials, literature searches, and standard response letters/medical information letters.
  • Liaise with international pharmaceutical clients, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders to build trusting relationships and anticipate their needs.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, authors/faculty, clients, and vendors to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Attend workshops, seminars, and trainings to enhance skills and contribute to organizational objectives.
  • Apply scientific and creative knowledge to develop ideas and execute effective medical communications initiatives in the digital space.
  • Maintain current awareness of developments across therapeutic areas or disciplines and share best practices with the medical communications team.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in relevant fields of scientific writing.
  • PhD/MD (Pharmacology) OR PhD (Life Sciences) OR PharmD with a good understanding of clinical research and medical communication.
  • Clear, concise, scientific style of writing, with a high level of attention to detail and excellent language skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with clients.
  • Ability to adapt writing style to different materials and target audiences.
  • Basic knowledge of biostatistics.
  • Literature reviewing and evaluation capabilities.
  • Very good working knowledge of MS Office.
