Role Overview

The Fund Accounting Manager is a strategic position that oversees fund accounting operations, client relationships, and financial reporting. This role requires an experienced professional with exceptional leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and accurate fund accounting services, including financial statements, NAVs, capital accounts, distribution notices, and tax provisions.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and coordinate audits.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met and exceeded.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and implement automation, efficiency, and cost improvements within processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team with structured career development and succession planning.
  • Monitor and control operational risks by reviewing performance metrics and implementing a risk-based approach.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualifications: ACMA, ACA, ACCA preferred; MBA/MSc from a reputable university.
  • Experience: 8+ years in fund accounting with strong exposure to private equity or hedge funds.
  • Proven leadership in managing and developing teams within a matrix structure.
  • Strong analytical, financial reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and fund accounting systems.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
