Backend Developer Opportunity

About This Role:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development group, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable backend systems.

Responsibilities:

As a Backend Developer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • 80% : Designing and implementing high-performing backend applications using Java
  • 20% : Working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Skills: Java, relational and non-relational databases, Micro service architecture, high-performing applications, cloud architecture
  • Additional Experience: Elastic Search, Python, deployment and operations, messaging systems like Kafka, data processing pipeline and analytical databases

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Java programming, with a focus on building high-performing, scalable applications
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation in cloud-native environments
  • Proficiency in working with relational and non-relational databases
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration (20% of role)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially using Jenkins, for automated deployments
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including cloud architecture best practices
  • Exposure to Elastic Search, Python, and messaging systems like Kafka is a plus
  • Understanding of data processing pipelines and analytical databases for large-scale data operations
