Backend Software Development Expert

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled backend software engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable Java Spring Boot microservices.

The successful candidate will lead the migration of core functionality from our legacy .NET monolith to a modern event-driven architecture using Java Spring Boot microservices.

This critical role requires an in-depth understanding of complex systems, experience with cloud-native technologies like Google Cloud Platform, and expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven design patterns.

The key responsibilities include designing & developing Java Spring Boot microservices, migrating legacy .NET code to the new Java stack, implementing event-driven architecture using Google Cloud Pub/Sub, and building & deploying services using Google Cloud Platform technologies.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in backend software development, expert-level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, and professional experience with .NET (C#).

In addition, the ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, specifically with services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, and/or Firestore, and a strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Professional experience with .NET (C#) and ability to read, understand, and reverse-engineer legacy codebases.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, specifically with services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, and/or Firestore.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven design patterns.
