Backend Software Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to develop high-quality code, optimize application performance and collaborate with the development team to ensure our applications meet non-functional requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java/J2EE, with experience in developing microservices and cloud native applications using Spring Core, Spring MVC Framework, Spring Boot Framework JPA and similar tech stacks.

You will be responsible for:

">
  • Developing elegant and high-performing backend code
  • Ensuring quality practices – unit testing, code reviews and leading tests
  • Optimizing application performance for non-functional requirements
  • Building and deploying components as part of the CI/CD process
  • Collaborating with the development team to resolve production issues and improve overall system health

Key Requirements:

">
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Java/J2EE development
  • Experience developing microservices and cloud native apps using Java/J2EE, REST APIs, Spring Core, Spring MVC Framework, Spring Boot Framework JPA (Java Persistence API) and similar tech stacks
  • Experience working with Unit testing using frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, JBehave
  • Build and deploy services using Gradle, Maven, Jenkins etc. as part of the CI/CD process
  • Experience working in Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with any Relational Database (Oracle, PostgreSQL etc.)

  • Excellent communication skills – design-related conversations, ability to build and nurture good relationships and foster an environment for collaboration
  • Designing, developing and implementing custom software and database application capabilities with limited oversight
