Backend Developer Job Description

This role is for a highly skilled and experienced software developer to contribute to our dynamic Development Team. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for mentoring junior developers and contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

You will work closely with other teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of fintech and payment systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain secure backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and manage RESTful APIs and microservices for fintech and payment systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance.
  • Lead the design of system architecture and database schema for complex data-driven applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's / master's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related).
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Java programming.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Jenkins, and modern CI/CD pipelines; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
  • Experience in cloud-based deployments, ideally on Oracle Cloud or similar platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Expertise in Git, version control workflows, and collaboration tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Practical understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write technical documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
