Government Grants & Awards Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented business researcher to join our team as a Government Grants & Awards Specialist.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives on crafting compelling award entries, negotiating sponsorship agreements, and identifying growth opportunities through government policies and schemes.

The successful candidate will play a dual role, driving brand visibility through impactful award submissions while also leveraging government policies, schemes, and certifications that align with our strategic objectives.

This cross-functional role is perfect for someone with a knack for writing, building relationships, and turning regulatory insights into business growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and craft compelling award entries backed by strong factual data to maximise winning potential.
  • Negotiate and manage end-to-end sponsorship agreements while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure relevant sponsorship opportunities that align with our brand and business goals.
  • Maintain relationships with award committees, event organisers, and industry associations.
  • Track submission deadlines and deliverables for awards and sponsorships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather case studies, metrics, and insights that support award nominations and pitches.
Requirements:
  • 0–3 years of experience in a related field
  • A degree in Law, Communications, Public Policy, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong research, writing, and documentation skills with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to craft award entries, sponsorship pitches, or government grant applications
  • Understanding of legal, policy, or regulatory frameworks—especially relating to government programs, sponsorships, and compliance
  • A proactive, relationship-oriented mindset with strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple high-stakes deadlines with minimal oversight
