Chief Financial Officer - Strategy and Leadership

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a pivotal role in driving the company's financial strategy and direction.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the CEO and Board on financial planning, capital allocation, and risk management.
  • Analyse and interpret financial performance, industry trends, and economic conditions to inform decision-making.

Financial Operations

  • Oversee accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Establish and maintain robust financial controls and accounting systems to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory reporting requirements and accounting standards.

Investor Relations and Fundraising

  • Lead fundraising efforts, including equity and debt fundraising aligned with group targets.
  • Manage existing investor relationships and lead team efforts to secure new investors.
  • Represent the company in news, media, and investor calls, providing updates on company performance and progress.

Treasury Management and Banking

  • Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and loan negotiations to optimize working capital and cash flow.
  • Implement effective treasury operations, hedging strategies, and liquidity planning to mitigate financial risks.

Audit and Compliance

  • Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits to ensure zero non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to identify process improvements and enhance internal control frameworks.
  • Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and protect against financial risks.

Taxation and Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of direct and indirect taxes.
  • Optimize tax strategies to minimize liabilities while remaining compliant.
  • Stay informed about changing tax laws and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Investment and Capital Management

  • Evaluate investment opportunities for ROI and strategic alignment.
  • Manage portfolio investments, acquisitions, and divestitures to achieve long-term capital and funding goals.
  • Develop and implement long-term capital and funding strategies.

Leadership and Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing finance and accounts teams.
  • Foster a culture of financial discipline and operational excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement through training, automation, and process optimization.
