
Gold Loan Business Development Manager

Job Overview:
This role is responsible for driving gold loan business growth through various channels. It involves leading a team of direct selling agents to expand the gold loan business in their respective localities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet monthly sales targets by acquiring new customers and cross-selling existing liabilities.
- Develop strategies to pitch existing liability customers for gold loans.
- Monitor and improve end-of-period execution on the execution-only platform.
- Maintain assets under management for the gold loan business per branch.
- Ensure fee income is at least 1% of total disbursements.
- Regularly follow up with customers to ensure timely renewal of cases.
- Coordinate with valuators to ensure efficient valuation processes.
- Ensure customers are aware of and align with product norms regarding valuation charges.
- Focus on healthy collections with zero first equated monthly instalment (FEMI).
- Minimize fresh flows in Bucket X, Priority Sector Lending, and tagging.
- Support the branch liability team during audits and communicate effectively with customers before any packet opening.
- Conduct marketing activities in the local market to generate new-to-bank gold loan customers.
- Be willing to work extensively in the field and travel across regions as required.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed by the department.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in MS-Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results under pressure.
- Graduation in any discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience in retail banking, preferably with exposure to lending products.
