
Loan Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and manage end-to-end loan processing for our India branches and servicing activities. The ideal candidate will ensure operational efficiency, risk control, and adherence to regulatory and internal policy requirements.
This role includes overseeing day-to-day operations, driving process improvements, and delivering high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders. As a people leader, focus on developing, mentoring, and managing a high-performance team, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning to support business goals and client satisfaction.
The successful candidate will have strong PC skills, extensive experience in Loan Products, static data maintenance process & customer data management, and understanding various system applications used for Lending. Additionally, they will have hands-on experience in managing stakeholders, governance, and managing toll gates, as well as exposure to India-related regulatory guidelines and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform duties diligently and work as SME for processes.
- Nurture team members and understand Bank processes/policies and adhere to needs.
- Work closely with overseas branches to process/execute transactions as per accuracy/quality standards/SLAs of the Bank.
- Learn system functions and adhere to controls, provide suggestions to improve/streamline operational processes.
- Deliver high-quality service to enhance function's reputation and meet customer expectations.
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders within our organization.
- Support and resolve customer enquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Work in partnership with Compliance to understand relevant operational guidelines, our standard procedures, and local regulations and assess impact on daily operations workflow.
- Work in partnership with wider operations team for information sharing and to ensure transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing loan operations team, ensuring effective workload distribution, performance management, and culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to more junior members of team. Assist in training and development of individuals to ensure high level of job knowledge.
- Take initiatives to guide and train new joiners and junior staff.
- Perform checking process on operational issues escalated by less experienced members of team.
- Perform reconciliation of any daily pending transactions.
- Support Head of Department in determining level of support on new product offerings by carrying out reviews on resourcing issues, internal policies, workarounds, and system capabilities.
- Support Head of Department in achieving department's KPIs, set by Branch Management.
- Support in managing risk profile for department.
- Support internal and external audits within department by preparing documentation as required.
- Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws, and regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines.
- Timely submission of Statutory and MIS reports.
- Conduct necessary trainings to team.
- Manage testing and new migrations.
- Take initiatives towards cost reduction, automation, and digitization and support seniors in execution of same.
