Senior Software Engineering Manager

The role requires a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, and DevOps practices. Experience with AI solutions, performance optimization, and security frameworks is mandatory. Familiarity with tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins, and excellent communication skills are also required.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in Software Product/Platform development, is expected. Demonstrated ability to architect scalable, secure, customer-focused solutions and experience in product-based companies with a strong understanding of the product lifecycle and strategy is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Agile Methodology Deployment: Ensure on-time and quality delivery of product features by deploying Agile methodologies and using the Scrum framework.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Product, QA, and Operations team to ensure timely delivery, platform uptime, and manage technical debt.
• Product Strategy: Support and collaborate with Product Management team for defining product strategy and achieving product vision.
• User Story Prioritization: Participate in backlog refinement and assist Product Management Team with user story prioritization.
• Sprint Planning: Participate in sprint planning along with Product Team and Technical Leads to define sprint scope, goal, and deliverables.
• SDLC Process Improvement: Define, deploy, and improve SDLC processes in coordination with Product and QA Teams.
• Sprint Progress Monitoring: Ensure all user stories are estimated, software designs created, and sprint dependencies are met before sprint begins to ensure smooth sprint execution.
• Task Assignment and Monitoring: Assign tasks to team members and monitor sprint progress to ensure timely delivery.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure team conducts unit testing and peer code reviews.
• Sprint Updates: Send periodic updates on sprint progress.
• Schedule Optimization: Identify bottlenecks to sprint schedule and address them in a timely manner.
• Production Support: Support Production Support team in addressing production issues and meeting SLAs.
• Platform Architecture: Collaborate with Technical Architect participate in development and deployment of platform architecture that is aligned with product vision.
• AI Assisted Coding: Deploy and institutionalize AI-assisted coding tools and guidelines for use.
• Team Development: Build and develop a high-performing team by hiring, onboarding, coaching, and timely upskilling.
• Performance Evaluation: Define goals and objectives and conduct performance reviews for the team.
• Executive Reporting: Send weekly reports for executive team.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Experience: 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in Software Product/Platform development.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one of Go, Python, or Java with prior experience. Demonstrated experience in executing or implementing AI solutions within live projects is mandatory. Prior experience in using AI Tools for Coding, Code Refactoring, Unit Testing, Automated testing, and documentation is preferred.
• Soft Skills: Excellent grasp of software engineering processes, DevOps, and experience with Agile and Scrum practices. Effective communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
• Company Background: Experience in product-based companies with a strong understanding of the product lifecycle and strategy is essential. Proven delivery capabilities in high-volume SaaS platforms.
