Pastry Production Manager

The key responsibility of the Pastry Production Manager is to oversee all pastry production operations, ensuring efficiency, product quality and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

This role involves managing production schedules, coordinating with procurement and sales teams, leading a team of bakers and production staff, and implementing continuous improvement processes to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring overall smooth operations of the central kitchen
  • Controlling cost of operations on an ongoing basis
  • Ensuring optimal resource utilization and maintaining inventory levels for raw material and finished products
  • Delivering high-quality products in the forecasted quantity as per the SKU's
  • Maintaining standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene at all times
  • Establishing and maintaining effective employee relations
  • Hiring specific levels of employees, employee orientation, and coaching
  • Conducting formal on-the-job training sessions for kitchen employees
  • Performing special projects as assigned
  • Conducting daily briefing meetings with the team
  • Performing any other duty or responsibility assigned by the management

Candidate Profile:

  • Hotel Management graduation with a minimum 18 years of experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a leadership role
  • Multitasking ability and ability to work in stressful environments
  • Pleasing personality, excellent communication skills, and team management capabilities
  • Ability in planning, organizing, analytical, budgeting, and cost control
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in pastry and bakery techniques
  • Able to mass produce standardized products
