Job Title: Confectionary Specialist

The key responsibilities of this role include assisting in the preparation and presentation of pastries and baked goods, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare baking ingredients and follow established recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring that all areas are tidy and safe for staff and customers.
  • Assist in the decoration and presentation of finished products, taking care to meet high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
Requirements:
  • Strong skills in pastry baking, cake decoration, and dessert making, with experience in following and adjusting recipes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from senior chefs, while also demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving high-quality results.
  • Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy working environment.
  • Relevant certification or diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts is an asset, as is prior experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen.
  • Attention to detail and creativity in pastry presentation, with a focus on creating visually appealing desserts and pastries.
