Bakery Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality pastry and dessert items for our guests.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare various pastry and dessert menu items according to recipes and photos in a timely and efficient manner.
• Work in a designated station in the kitchen, with opportunities to change tasks and become familiar with production processes.
• Be responsible for some pastry and dessert production, including setting up pastry displays on buffets as needed.
• Assist with transporting food items from main stores to the kitchen when assigned.
• Clean and sanitize working areas and utensils following health and safety regulations.
• Occasionally work in early standby in the kitchen for operational purposes.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Minimum two years' experience as a Pastry Chef in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment.
• Completion of high school or basic education equivalency requirement.
