Job Opportunity: Electrical Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Procurement Specialist to assume responsibility for handling end-to-end procurement of electrical items. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing the right products at the right cost, on time, and as per technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for electrical products (cables, switchgears, panels, etc.).
  • Negotiation and Price Comparison: Float RFQs, prepare price comparison sheets, and negotiate for the best pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Technical Understanding: Review and interpret SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) to ensure purchases align with project needs.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain and update vendor lists, develop new suppliers, and conduct vendor audits.
  • Coordination and Dispatch: Coordinate with project/logistics teams for dispatches, tracking, and resolving any delays or discrepancies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate procurement records (quotations, POs, payments, approvals).
  • Compliance and Budget Management: Ensure purchases are made within budget and in compliance with company procurement guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–4 years of procurement experience in an electrical trading company.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
