This role involves end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing employee wages, benefits, and tax deductions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collect and process timesheet data and payroll information from various sources.
- Enter data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs to ensure seamless record-keeping.
- Calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, and commissions based on company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and process paychecks and cash deposits in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions for auditing purposes.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns efficiently.
- Perform payroll reconciliations to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Prepare financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes, providing insights into payroll trends and patterns.
- Pursue regular payroll tax lodgments based on income tax obligations.
- Calculate termination payments, including annual leave, long service leave, and redundancy payments, in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
- E-file TDS and form 16 as required by law.
- Prepare periodic payroll reports for review by team leaders and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of experience with a bachelor's or master's degree in business or a related field, or an MBA.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) to interact effectively with colleagues, management, and clients.
Essential Competencies:
- Strong documentation and Excel skills to maintain accurate records and perform data analysis.
- Proficiency in payroll software to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.
- Reliability and honesty to maintain trust with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to work according to shift timings and adapt to changing priorities.
- Multi-country payroll and taxation knowledge to navigate complex global regulations.
Problem-solving and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
