System Support Specialist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled System Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional technical support to our customers, troubleshooting complex issues and providing monthly service overviews.

  • You will be responsible for communicating effectively with customers through various channels.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues using internal and publicly available documentation.
  • Collaborate with OEM and 3rd party support providers to resolve issues.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to the Managed Services team.
Requirements

To succeed in this position, you should have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical field.
  • Experience providing customer support.
  • Advanced knowledge of desktop operating systems.
  • Experience using Server virtualization platforms VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, Certified Ethical Hacker or CISSP, AWS Certified Practitioner / Solution Architect, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, Red Hat RHCSA/RHCE, ITIL v3/4 Foundation / Six Sigma Black Belt / PMP are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Administering Windows and Linux systems and related tools such as Active Directory, SCOM, Satellite and Puppet.
  • Administering common network infrastructure, such as switches, routers, load balancers and firewalls.
  • Administering unified communications platforms.
  • Mentoring and training analysts and engineers.
