Job Title: DevOps Specialist

Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Release Management and DevOps initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Change Request creation, cross-team coordination, and automation-driven delivery pipelines, along with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing software releases across multiple environments, ensuring timely and quality delivery of releases with minimal disruption. They will also maintain release calendars and coordinate with stakeholders for alignment.

In addition, the DevOps Specialist will create, track, and manage Change Requests (CRs) through their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with internal governance and external audit requirements. They will collaborate with business and technical teams to assess impact and risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and manage software releases across multiple environments.
  • Maintain release calendars and coordinate with stakeholders for alignment.
  • Create, track, and manage CRs through their lifecycle.

The DevOps Specialist will also implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc. They will monitor and optimize deployment processes for scalability and reliability, driving adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Furthermore, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, effectively conveying technical and non-technical information to stakeholders at all levels. They will foster a collaborative environment across geographically distributed teams.

The DevOps Specialist will maintain detailed release notes, CR logs, and deployment documentation, providing regular status updates and metrics to leadership.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Release Management and DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile processes.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, Groovy).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git), ticketing tools (JIRA, ServiceNow), and monitoring tools.
