Job Title: Senior Database Architect

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Database Architect to join our team. As a key member of our database development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance databases that meet the evolving needs of our organization.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data models that drive business growth. Your expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, and scalability will ensure that our databases operate at optimal levels, providing fast and reliable access to critical data.

Your role will involve mentoring junior team members, ensuring knowledge sharing and best practices are implemented across the team. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining documentation, including technical guides, standards, and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance databases
  • Maintain and optimize database performance
  • Develop and maintain database documentation
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 4-8 years of experience as a Database Developer or similar role
  • Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming
  • Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server features / concepts
  • Good report development skills, preferably in SSRS & PowerBI
  • Good time-management skills and mentoring skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good Team Management and Collaboration
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

Bonus Points: Experience with cloud-based database solutions, such as Azure or AWS, would be highly beneficial.
